Vigilar, an information security consulting firm and solution provider, has signed an agreement with the CWNP(R) Program to deliver CWNP wireless LAN training courses. Vigilar has added the foundation level CWNA wireless LAN administration and advanced level CWSP wireless LAN security courses to its robust security training curriculum.
Vigilar's instructors are considered experts in their field having trained over 20,000 professionals in obtaining information security certifications. The CWNP Program is the industry standard for wireless LAN training and certification, with Vigilar offering classes worldwide. The training courses provide students with hands-on experience with wireless equipment teaching them how to best design and install wireless networks to make them more secure, reliable, and cost-effective.
According to Gartner Group 70 percent of successful WLAN attacks will be due to incorrectly configured WLAN access points and PC software until 2006. Vigilar's wireless security training classes will help individuals learn how to protect their organizations as WLAN's explosive growth continues.
"We are excited to have Vigilar as our latest partner offering the CWNP Program," said Kevin Sandlin, CEO and co-founder of the CWNP Program. "Studies show the best systems engineers, IT professionals, and salespeople in wireless are the ones with the best training. Vigilar continues to help educate professionals in wireless security using the most comprehensive training available."
"Vigilar has been providing wireless training for several years now and we are excited to enhance our wireless classes by helping customers achieve the only certification in wireless security," said President and CEO, Palaniswamy "Raj" Rajan. "Wireless adoption continues to grow and the majority of organizations have some unsecured wireless network traffic. Security cannot come from a single software protocol or hardware solution, but rather from educated wireless networking professionals implementing multiple safeguards. IT professionals have to add wireless networking education so they can implement the safeguards necessary to protect networks and provide end-to-end security."
These instructor-led courses are a comprehensive approach to training that combines classroom discussion and hands on labs using equipment from over 20 industry leading vendors to create the most effective learning experience available in the industry.
