Congruity Technologies Conducts Network Security Scan for PPG Industries

PPG Industries takes the security and compliance of their global network operations very seriously, especially the more recent Internet-based threats of spyware and malicious code. To ensure the security of the global IT network and productivity of thousands of employees, PPG went on the offensive to profile its entire network using the turnkey Threat Inspection Audit(TM) Solution from Congruity Technologies.
Spyware applications and other Internet downloadable programs can quickly compromise workstation security without the user's knowledge just by visiting a host web site. Once installed these programs can automatically download new updates containing exploits, but most often only make themselves known when workstation performance and responsiveness grows steadily worse over time. It's a problem familiar to most IT managers who often learn about Spyware problems after-the-fact when the user calls the helpdesk to complain.
Robert Wagner, IT Security Director at PPG first evaluated Congruity's solution last year after it was recommended by regional consulting partner, Solutions4Networks. "We conducted a trial with Congruity and they brought to light several issues we were unaware of. The service enabled us to leverage our existing staff and resources more effectively, on our schedule and according to our overall organizational needs."
"Having a complete picture of the network enables you to make better decisions and invest resources more wisely," remarked Congruity's CEO and co- founder, Scott W. Smith. "Most organizations would have to devote considerable internal resources, time and money to gather the information and conduct the analysis we provide. Our turnkey philosophy and solution is designed to deliver cost-effective, consistent and repeatable results to help them optimize network security and compliance without having to invest a boatload of money on equipment up front."
