Frost & Sullivan's recent analysis, World Managed Security Services Markets, selected Cybertrust®, Inc. as the recipient of the 2004 Market Leadership Award for not just leading the managed security service providers (MSSP) market, but leading it by a considerable margin.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan, presents this Award to a company that has exhibited market share leadership through the implementation of successful marketing strategies. The Award recognizes excellence in all areas of the marketing process - identification of industry challenges, market drivers and restraints, strategy development, and methods of addressing these market dynamics.

Cybertrust is the result of a merger of Betrusted and TruSecure®, and is the majority owner of Ubizen®, N.V. As a result, Cybertrust now represents the combined MSSP business of MSSP industry leaders TruSecure and Ubizen.

"TruSecure and Ubizen have been extremely successful in the MSSP market as individual competitors, and have now combined as Cybertrust to become the single largest MSSP," says Rufus Connell, Frost & Sullivan Research Director of Information Technology. "In the heavily fragmented market such as the MSSP market, an even more impressive point to note is the margin of market share leadership created by the combination."

One of the many advantages that Ubizen brings is its relationship with telecom service providers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) - regions where clients look to local providers for services. As Ubizen services are resold through local telcos, it is able to reach markets that would otherwise be difficult to compete in. Ubizen has grown out of Europe to become one of the only pure-play MSSPs with a truly global presence.

TruSecure, on the other hand, brings significant brand name recognition in the North American market - the result of the company's well-respected knowledge base. As an early provider of vulnerability assessment services, the company has grown by leveraging this skill set to provide premium monitoring and consultative services to large enterprise clients.

Being heavily represented in EMEA (through Ubizen) and North America (through TruSecure), Cybertrust's geographic representation is unmatched by any other MSSP. Large multinational companies whose operations are scattered across the globe gravitate toward Cybertrust based on this presence alone. Additional competitive advantages come from the breadth of services that are offered by the conglomeration. In essence, Cybertrust is the first MSSP who can deliver the expertise of a pure-play with the geographic reach of an international systems integrator (SI).

Cybertrust's next closest competitor's market share representation is 3.4 percentage points less than its own. While this may not seem like a vast difference at first glance, market shares of the other nine market heavyweights range from 3.4 percent to 6.1 percent. In essence, then, Cybertrust's market share representation is over 30 percent larger than its next closest competitor.

For being uniquely positioned to meet and satisfy the needs of clients - with its range of capabilities, technological and industry expertise, and global presence - Cybertrust is the deserving recipient of the 2004 Market Leadership Award.

04.05.2005, Frost & Sullivan
