Citadel Security Software Inc., provider of enterprise vulnerability management and policy enforcement solutions, announced that the Florida Supreme Court has chosen Citadel Security Software for its vulnerability management and remediation tool. The Florida Supreme Court selected Citadel's Hercules® automated vulnerability remediation solution in part because of its ability to audit security policies and ensure compliance.

State and local government organizations are becoming ever more vigilant in minimizing security risks and ensuring an efficient way to audit policies and track compliance. Hercules can help, protecting an organization's network against all five classes of vulnerabilities -- software defects, unsecured accounts, unnecessary services, mis-configurations and backdoors -- across a multi-platform, multi-device environment. By automating vulnerability remediation and policy enforcement processes, the Florida Supreme Court will have a more effective approach to protecting sensitive data and enforcing security policies across its network.

"We selected Citadel's Hercules in large part because of its ability to audit security policies," said Alan Neubauer, ISS Support Manager/Chief Information Security Officer, Florida Supreme Court. "Hercules allows us to implement security mitigation much more efficiently. We anticipate it will provide extensive compliance reporting and automated enforcement. With Hercules, we can maintain secure compliance with far fewer resources."

With the largest library of tested vulnerability remedies across Windows and UNIX platforms and interoperability with industry leading network scanners and vulnerability assessment tools, Citadel gives the Florida Supreme Court the ability to avoid problems, resolve issues in real time, and cut down on its remediation effort. Hercules allows the organization to import and aggregate data from multiple sources, review, approve and customize resolutions, and systematically deploy vulnerability fixes.

"We feel honored that The Florida Supreme Court selected Citadel's security solutions as their foundation for a consistent and repeatable process to audit, remediate, verify and report on security status," said Dave Donovan, Vice President, Public Sector, Citadel Security Software. "We appreciate their confidence in us as a trusted IT security advisor, and we are committed to providing them with best-in-class solutions that help protect the organization's systems and help them deliver on their mission."
