nCircle Announces Web Seminar Series on Balancing Security Ecosystem

nCircle, provider of enterprise-class vulnerability and risk management solutions, announced its fourth quarter 2005 Web seminar line-up, focused on "Balancing Your Security Ecosystem". This series will provide examples of how organizations are balancing their security ecosystems to measure and manage IT risk, and will provide a framework for enterprises to review their current security state and learn about security best practices for their organization.
The series will launch on October 27th, 2005 with a seminar entitled "Aberdeen Group's Network & Infrastructure Security Best Practices". During this session, analyst Stacey Quandt of Aberdeen Group will discuss how a leading telecommunications company using the nCircle IP360 solution for vulnerability and risk management was selected as one of the top 10 enterprise implementations demonstrating best practices in network and infrastructure security.
On November 1st, 2005, Tim Keanini, CTO of nCircle will present "How Much Security is Enough Security?" and will discuss how creating the delicate balance of "just enough" security can be a difficult task since what is considered enough security today may be too much or not enough security tomorrow. This webinar will provide a framework for organizations to review their current security state versus their business objectives and determine the right level of IT security for their organization.
The November 8th, 2005 webinar will focus on "Optimizing Your Security Ecosystem". During this session, participants will hear real world examples of how nCircle customers are creating the delicate balance of "just enough" security within their security ecosystem.
The December 6th, 2005 session is entitled "Deperimiterization - Building a Multi-Level Security Strategy to Prevent Infiltration". With the continued trend toward out-sourcing, growing numbers of hand-held devices to corporate networks, and expansion of third-party business relationships, the traditional view of the network border as a "hard shell" has been replaced by a porous, more permissive border. This session will discuss how IT security departments can manage the challenges that this shift presents through a better understanding of network topology and risk management.
The series will close on December 13th, 2005, with the final session entitled "Balancing Your Information Security Ecosystem with nCircle". This session will explore how nCircle enables the integration of vulnerability and risk management into existing business processes such as help desk systems, asset management, and other security systems, enabling IT organizations to focus their efforts on the tasks that will most effectively reduce their operational workload and network risk.
"For the Q4 Webinar Series launching October 27th, our customers asked us to incorporate best practices and tools they can use to help them assess their current security state," said Elizabeth Ireland, vice-president of marketing, nCircle. "This series will demonstrate how enterprises can implement proactive security technologies to create a balanced ecosystem, and implement security best practices in their own organizations."
