Vordel signs leading security IT distributor Smartsec to promote XML security appliance

Leading Swedish IT security distributor to resell Vordel’s VS3000 XML security appliance in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland

Vordel, the XML Web Services security company today announced the appointment of leading Swedish security distributor, Smartsec, as a reseller of Vordel's VS3000 XML security appliance into the Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Icelandic marketplaces.

Smartsec is highly regarded in the region as the acknowledged leading distributor for best of breed IT security products. Under the terms of the deal, Smartsec will distribute Vordel's XML security appliance, VS3000, into new and existing channels in the Scandinavian region. Smartsec has been supplying quality solutions into the security reseller market for over twenty years. The firm is recognized for the high quality of its product offerings and comprehensive channel partner and end-user support services. Vordel will be included in a portfolio of specialist security products from firms such as Borderware, Credant, Fortinet, Safenet and Vasco.

The VS3000 XML security appliance provides organizations with the security to deploy XML applications quickly and easily. It is optimized to deliver performance tuned acceleration of both Web Services security and SSL.

Smartsec CEO, Mr. Berndt Långström, welcoming the announcement said; "We looked at the market space and identified Vordel as the leading provider in Europe capable of delivering an XML gateway with the requisite levels of performance and ease of deployment to meet the reseller market requirements.”
