Security.Advisor allows companies to identify potential network vulnerabilities and greynet applications on the network.
"For most organizations, addressing network security requires a complex set of interrelated elements that rely on collaboration and product interoperability," said Gerry Albert, Platform Strategy Advisor and Director of the SecureIT Alliance. "The team at Centennial Software brings valuable security knowledge to the table with its products, bolstering the Alliance's ability to help Microsoft customers with their security needs. We're excited to have them as a member of the SecureIT Alliance."
The SecureIT Alliance was designed as a Web-based collaboration forum between partners to help members build innovative new security solutions and to communicate with customers about solutions and partnerships. Centennial brings strong security experience to the Alliance, specifically around the threats associated with portable storage devices and network vulnerabilities. With a wide variety of features - including encryption, file access auditing temporary access - DeviceWall offers IT managers the most flexible and comprehensive endpoint security product available on the market today. Security.Advisor, a comprehensive new solution for detecting and prioritizing network software and firmware vulnerabilities, sets a new bar for effective governance of the IT estate by combining 100 percent network discovery with vulnerability assessment, ensuring that vulnerability scans are performed on all machines for total network protection.
"Our ability to collaborate early in the development cycle with Microsoft and its partners helps ensure that the Microsoft community can immediately benefit from the leading security solutions that come to market," said Matt Fisher, vice president at Centennial Software. "The SecureIT Alliance will help fuel security related development and collaboration on Microsoft platforms and help ensure customer confidence around these products.
