FalconStor to deliver enterprise-level continuous data protection to Intel storage system SME
Certifies the Intel storage platform for its Continuous Data Protection solution
FalconStor today announced the delivery of enterprise-level continuous data protection (CDP) to Intel's small /medium business (SMB) customers with FalconStor's CDP for SMB software and Intel's storage platform, the Intel(r) Storage System SSRC212CC. Intel channel partners can implement the FalconStor CDP for SMB software on the SSR212CC to give their customers an increased level of protection and disaster preparedness.
The FalconStor CDP for SMB appliance is a combination of Intel's SSR212CC, which is purchased separately, and FalconStor's CDP for SMB software. The solution was developed to help SMBs manage the dramatic growth of data and to remove the difficulty of multiple time- and resource-intensive backups per day, which can grind the IT shop of a smaller company to a halt. In the event of a failure, data can be recovered in minutes with the FalconStor CDP solution rather than hours or days. Because data is backed up continuously, companies can recover to any point in time and data loss is virtually eliminated.

The combined Intel and FalconStor solution allows companies to recover from total system loss or corruption within minutes. With multiple recovery options, administrators can choose to recover block, file, volume, disk or whole systems.
