Helping Businesses Comply with FTC Guidelines and FRCP Requirements

Code Green Networks is excited to announce a major new upgrade to its award-winning Content Inspection (CI) Appliance for protecting customer data and intellectual property.

The CI Appliance is the first solution to bring enterprise-class data loss prevention capabilities to companies with a few dozen to a few thousand network users. With an easy-to-use, wizard-based interface, it provides a complete solution that:

* Prevents Loss of Personal Information and Intellectual Property
* Monitors, Enforces and Audits All Popular Internet Communication Channels (SMTP, HTTP. WebMail, IM, FTP and others)
* Encrypts Using Policy-Based Encryption
* Deploys Quickly With Pre-Defined Policy Templates

New guidelines issued in April 2007 from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommend companies monitor and encrypt their electronic business communications to help protect the privacy of employee and customer data. Recent changes in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), which became effective in December 2006, have focused greater attention on the potential legal issues associated with employees using personal WebMail accounts to transmit confidential or sensitive information over unmonitored corporate networks.

With several key new features, including enhanced WebMail protection and on-board email encryption, Code Green not only protects customer data, but specifically helps businesses automate compliance with these new Federal guidelines for data privacy and legal discovery regulations.

Just a few of the new features released today include:

* Monitoring & Enforcing WebMail Usage: Complete monitoring and enforcement for all popular WebMail services including Google Gmail, MSN Hotmail, AOL Mail, Windows Live Mail and Yahoo! Mail. WebMail communications can now be monitored for sensitive content, recorded for auditing and discovery purposes, and blocked for policy enforcement.

* Policy-Based Email Encryption: Integrated, policy-based email encryption using the Voltage Security Network is now included on the CI Appliance, enabling companies to set policies that automatically encrypt email communications to ensure its security.

* Protection for Structured Data: Direct connectors for protecting data elements stored in Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases and WebDAV content repositories such as Microsoft's SharePoint.
