Network Associates McAfee IntruShield Wins SC Magazine Global Award 2004 for Best Intrusion Solution
Network Associates, Inc. announced that its McAfee® IntruShield® intrusion prevention solution has won the Reader Trust Award in the category of "Best Intrusion Solution" for SC Magazine's annual Global Awards 2004. In a separate announcement today, the company announced that its Sniffer® Distributed solution received the Reader Trust Award for "Best Business Continuity Software." Winners of the publication's annual awards were announced on April 27, 2004 at an awards ceremony held in London, England.

The Reader Trust Award was comprised of 22 security-focused product categories, and winners were selected based on judges' deliberations, reader votes and vote validation exercises. The "Best Intrusion Solution" accolade was awarded to a solution that protects networks and applications from threats, both known and unknown. The McAfee IntruShield solution delivers enterprise organizations patented intrusion detection and prevention technology in a single device to fortify their IT security defenses, ensuring seamless business operations across multiple office locations.
