Betrusted Completes Purchase of Security Assurance Group
Betrusted, provider of security and trust services, announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase the business of Security Assurance Group (SAG), providing Information Assurance, Security Consulting, and Managed Services to the U.S. Government and Fortune 1000 companies.
SAG, founded by top executives and engineers from the Information Assurance community, is a Security advisory and consultancy firm offering a comprehensive suite of services that align with each stage of the security lifecycle. SAG's offerings are grouped into three service lines: Preventative, Assessment, and Post-incident. Services include Internal and External Vulnerability Assessments, Forensic Investigation and Data Recovery, Incident Response Program Development, Wireless and Dial-up Network Assessments, Physical Security Assessments, and Security Program/Policy Development.
SAG brings a number of blue chip corporate and government clients including MCI, Unisys, U.S. Courts and the Department of Homeland Security.
With the acquisition, Kerry T. Bailey, CEO of SAG, will become Betrusted's new CEO of the Americas Region, and will be responsible for managing and growing the Americas business of Betrusted. He brings a proven ability to drive business development in the IT security space as well as deep strategic knowledge of both security consulting and managed services businesses.

"Additionally, Betrusted's breadth of products and services will allow further penetration into the U.S. Government sector, where SAG has historically has provided extensive service."
Additionally, John Kerr, SAG's Chief Security Officer and primary driver of its U.S. Federal Government business will become Betrusted's Chief Security Officer of the Americas. He brings 15 years of industry experience including serving as the Director of Information Assurance for USInternetworking (USi).
