NetSec, a managed security services provider announced the next generation of its services platform, Finium V. The new platform correlates vulnerability, threat, and asset data as it pertains to a customer's environment and integrates 24x7 security operations for risk monitoring and response. This integration provides customers with a better means for monitoring security risk by policy and compliance requirements. Finium V is being previewed this week at the Gartner IT Security Summit from June 7-9 in Washington DC.

"The integration of vulnerability assessment data with real-time security incident data has been a long-standing requirement of IT security management technology customers," said John Pescatore, vice president of Gartner Research. "Such integration enables more accurate prioritization of efforts to close the vulnerabilities that are targets of real world threats."

Finium V is an extension of the current security management services platform that enables vendor-neutral support for data and device types. The platform correlates data from industry-leading IDS, firewall, SEM, vulnerability scanners, and other various security intelligence feeds. This broad support allows Finium V to integrate threats, vulnerabilities, events, asset profiles, findings, and other application data types pertinent to dynamic risk calculation. A 24x7 security operations team continuously monitors, analyzes, and mitigates security risk with the customer.

An enhanced portal lets customers navigate their risk by assets, vulnerabilities, and threats with workflow-based functionality to prioritize, monitor, and report on remediation and response plans. Audit trails are logged to further support compliance and risk management reporting.

"Large enterprise customers continue to implement silos of technology while searching for a cohesive solution that bridges the gap between technologies, process, and compliance," said NetSec chairman and CEO, Glenn Hazard. "Our new platform addresses this gap and gives customers 24x7 support and a way to measure, manage, and report on complex security management requirements."

Finium V will be available in September 2004. For more information contact finiumv@netsec.net.
