Procera Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of Secure Content Management products, is pleased to announce a new combined solution coupling the Procera OptimIP(TM) Network Executive Appliance with ServGate EdgeForce(TM) Security Platform products to offer comprehensive end-to-end security and content management solutions. This is another major step that builds upon the strategic partnership that was announced February 24, 2004. Both companies will conduct joint marketing and sales activities in support of the offerings for the VARs (value-added resellers) to address SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) and Distributed Enterprise customers.

Procera OptimIP(TM) Network Executive Appliance provides integrated policy-based secure content management and network optimization. Network abuse and misuse is a growing problem. Industry estimates indicate that an average 100-person company loses over $750,000 per year on lost productivity due to employee misuse of the Internet. FBI studies indicate that over 70% of attack incidents occur with the internal network behind the firewall. There is a growing need for security and content management solutions.

OptimIP(TM) is a modular platform that supports multiple software solution options. ProceraWatch software option enables businesses to increase productivity by eliminating network abuse and misuse such as peer-to-peer downloading, video/audio streaming, instant messaging, web mail, non-business web sites, newsgroups, etc. ProceraWatch also provides additional internal security behind the firewall and allows organizations to secure wireless networks. ProceraApp optimizes business-critical application performance by prioritizing and reserving network bandwidth. ProceraTap provides more effective network visibility, monitoring and archiving by providing real-time selective traffic mirroring.

ServGate offers a flexible and modular platform of security functions such as firewall, virtual private network (VPN), anti-virus and spam filtering. EdgeForce(TM) systems are scalable solutions that support optional add-in performance modules to increase capacity and optional McAfee(TM) anti-virus and spam filtering software. The EdgeForce(TM) core technology, Full Context Inspection(TM), uniquely examines and analyzes entire components of network traffic to close vulnerability gaps left open by conventional point and standard firewall products.

Procera OptimIP(TM) and ServGate EdgeForce(TM) create a powerful product combination that offers a comprehensive line of defense from the Internet to the internal network to workgroups and individual user desktops. This comprehensive solution provides firewall, anti-virus, spam filtering protection from the Internet along with internal network content control and optimization.

Greg Dewing, VP of Sales of Procera Networks stated, "We are very pleased to be partnering with ServGate to offer our industry leading content and productivity executive appliance with ServGate's award winning EdgeForce security products. This will assist in offering our customers a more comprehensive security, intelligent content management, and productivity solution from the edge of the network to and throughout the internal network. Additionally, this will assist both ServGate and Procera in recruiting reseller partners with a more complete end-to-end solution."

"With ServGate protecting the perimeter and Procera securing the interior flow of traffic the partnership represents a comprehensive approach to network security," said Craig Vallarino, Director WW Channel Management and Development, ServGate. "This promotion is an opportunity for resellers to quickly see capital returns while benefiting from this unique bundled solution."

OptimIP(TM) products are available now and pricing starts at $2995. A special introductory bundle worldwide promotion for VARs is available which expires June 25, 2004. Contact Procera Networks for more information.
