Imperva, Inc., provider of advanced application security solutions, announced partnerships with Akhun Co., Ltd., Japan's top provider of professional information security services, Entrada Kommunikations GmbH and The Bristol Group Deutschland, Germany's leading IT security specialists, to provide Imperva's SecureSphere application security solutions, services and training to their customers.

Imperva also announced the opening of its U.K. Sales Office in Windsor, just outside London, to support SecureSphere in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland. The combination of the opening of the U.K. sales office, and the partnerships with German and Japanese resellers, significantly expands Imperva's worldwide sales and technical support presence. This will enable both European and Asian companies to purchase and receive support for SecureSphere solutions from their most trusted information security distributors in their territory.

"These markets are ready for application security solutions. They understand both the value and the risks associated with connecting highly sensitive applications to users via the Web," said Yarom Arad, Imperva's International Sales Director. "To safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of the applications and the data, these markets have chosen Imperva's SecureSphere solution to provide the dedicated security that is required."

"We see about 80% of attacks target the application, which means these applications clearly need dedicated security in order to be fully protected," said Stefan Strobel, CEO of Germany based application security specialist Cirosec GmbH. "Imperva's SecureSphere is the first real-word application security solution guarding the entire application area including the Web Applications as well as the databases at the backend."

As a master distributor, Akhun will support the entire Japanese market by marketing, selling, and servicing the SecureSphere solutions. They will provide sales and technical training for their reseller network. Entrada and Bristol Group will distribute and support SecureSphere through their hundreds of resellers each serving Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Imperva will support Entrada and Bristol Group with sales and technical training.

22.06.2004, Imperva, Inc.
