eSe Security, an International Provider of IT Security Services Comes to Germany

eSe Security International A/S based in Kolding, in Denmark will now also provide data network security services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With effect from 1 August 2004, a new German company eSe Security GmbH has been established in Dortmund to run the business in these three territories. Gunter Horst Hirschmann (61) has been appointed as chief executive.

Hirschmann is well know in the industry: prior to joining eSe Security, he was chief executive at comTeam, a company of the Duesseldorf-based ElectronicPartner group. Hirschmann has also held senior positions with the Metro group, GFT and Phonet Telecom AG.

Under the trade name En.Gate, eSe Security provides comprehensive IT security services. Target customers are small and medium-sized enterprises and partnerships with 2 to 50 PC workstations.

The En.Gate security service complies with the information security standards of ISO 17799. This standard forms the basis of comprehensive IT security management that is also positively evaluated by financial institutions in their rating process.

Regarding sales strategy, Hirschmann explains: "For this hitherto unique IT security service, we have decided to sell through VAR's, qualified IT/Telecom specialist retailers and ISP's."
